Hi Everybody,
We need help- our 1 year old Easter Egger has what looks like her tear duct outside one eye.
She isn't showing any signs of infection or even pain and she has let me look closely at her eye but I can't for the life of me figure out what happened or what to do. She free ranges on our property and is 'bottom chicken' in the pecking order of our flock of 4 chickens. 2 of our older girls pick on her and peck at her but there doesn't seem to be any other injury (if that's what this even is..).
There is a white-ish clear sack attached from somewhere behind her eye that is on the outside of her eye. Her eye otherwise doesn't seem to be swollen or infected. I have moved her into a room of her own and she drank a little water and seems surprisingly calm. I can't think how else to describe it or even what to say so I'm just going to post pics and hope someone knows what this is and what we can do to help her. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
