What is the best wormer for chickens? I'm think ivomec because it targets scaly leg mites as well which we have had in the past.
I have 2 heavy birds, 1 light breed, 3 pekin bantams, 2 heavy breed chicks (9 weeks), one modern game bantam rooster.
How much ivomec would you apply?

Not to be Debbie Downer here, but I've heard mixed results with that used in chickens. Last I know of, withdrawal time for eggs is not known and the meat should not be eaten. **if it were me**, I would use a well recommended dewormer and treat for scaly leg mites separately.
Safeguard and frontline are safer IMO.
Here is an article to consider (from 2009) http://www.meetup.com/AustinBackyardPoultry/messages/boards/thread/23965462

Has anyone used the liquid Fleming Ltd - Wazine 17% wormer for chickens? It's available on Amazon and has 3 decent reviews. It doesn't say if or for how long, you have to quit using the eggs while using it, though. Anyone know anything about it, or any other good wormers that I can find online? I haven't checked my local vet yet, but vet offices are often so much higher priced.

Ivermectin is no longer considered a good wormer for chickens. Worms have become resistant to Ivermectin.

Wazine only kills round worms. Chickens get a lot more worms than round worms.

Valbazen and Safeguard are much better choices.
