My brothers chicken got scalped somehow. There is no skin or feathers.
My question is ... will the skin and feathers grow back or will she always be bald. She is such a nice chicken she comes running when you come out of the house.

Chickens are pretty tough, as long as you keep it clean it'll probably heal up just fine.

As for feathers growing there again

who knows?

I would wrap the area to prevent maggots.

Feathers won't regrow until the next molt. Then all will grow back in just fine. Prolly this fall before cold winter sets in.

I was kinda wondering that my self (about feathers growing back) I had adopted a hen that was beat up pretty bad by a rooster. She has patches of feathers that are still missing. Her wounds are all healed but no sigh of regrowth and it's been 3 months. I hope hers come back as well, she looks kinda ratty right now. But one of my friendliest hens.
