Sorry, are those measurements in meters or feet? 8 square feet total is no way near enough for three hens to spend all their time in, unless you want it to be like a battery hen operation. In meters you would be okay though.

2x2 living quarters is only enough room for one hen and for a very short time at that....if you plan to keep just 2 then you will need at the very minimum a 4x6 ft. coop
