Is this a quality automatic door?
Is it worth getting the locking feature?
Does it perform in -40 temps?

And does anyone have any couple codes?

Cheers!

The Chicken Guard door is a power unit that lifts a sliding door. You can purchase the sliding/locking portion separately. Or make your own.
You are in a cold climate,, so I have no idea,, how pop door openers will perform for you. Even if the power unit is functioning,,, if the sliding portion gets iced up ,, and frozen,, , you are out of luck.
I have an Ador1 myself. It can be mounted inside your coop. You can protect the entrance from snow drifts with bales of straw. If mounted inside,, you will need the external sensor.
You can also mount the Chicken Guard inside. A timer controls the opening, and closing. There are suggestions that there is a Light sensor also. Not sure how well that portion would work,, mounted inside coop.
Maybe some cold area peeps can chime in what works best for them..
I'm in Zone 5.
Take this into consideration.
Ador1 is somewhat more cash than Chickenguard.
Chicken Guard powered by 4 AA batteries.
Ador1 powered by one 6 volt lantern battery.
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:
