from WA.

Good luck on getting some lovely hens for your coop.

My girl is telling me to tell you that Craigslist works, at least for her. All of our girls came from there.

I agree. Wendy always has what you're looking for, though she is on vacation this week.

Thanks, Montana. We have 4 Aussies and are totally addicted. I love your Morality/Religion comparison. Exactly my philosophy.

Welcome to BYC! I live in western Mass, in a very rural town that no one has ever heard of. I had to order day old pullets online from Ideal hatchery. My chicks are now 2 weeks old, growing fast but still months away from egg laying. We looked all around in our area for chickens before we bought them online. I found one website out of Connecticut called mypetchicken.com they may have what you're looking for. If not, I suggest you look for local feed and grain stores in your area. Sometimes people put up flyers when they have animals to sell, or the grain store employees might know of a customer who has chickens to sell or, the grain store may even get their own chickens in from time to time. It never hurts to ask! Best of luck from popcornpuppy in Holland, MA.
