Chickens allowed? Pine City, NY

Hello all,
I've wanted chickens(3 maybe 4) for quite some time but can't find a solid answer if they are allowed. Can anyone help? Greatly appreciated.

Simple answer. Stop by City hall, and ask. Are there other peeps in your area with chickens in their backyards???
You may have certain restrictions,,, like a number maximum,,, and no roosters.
I'm not familiar with Pine City NY.
