Chickens and Boredom

My chicken have lost of roosts in their covered run up off the ground and different heights. My chickens do not free range as we have lots of eagles and hawks, and people with dogs who run loose
I was wondering if there was anything I could put in the run to stop them from getting bored?

Hanging a cabbage (broccoli etc.) at about beak height and they can 'play' tetherball - keeps them amused for ages. Throwing down a handful of scratch grain will keep them occupied for a time. Do you have the ability to make a chicken tractor? That way they can be outside but safe.

No. I live just out side of town and the rest of my yard is all garden. I am moving onto my moms farm in a few months where she has a huge run set up, so I am just wanting something to keep them better till the move.
