Chickens and Bugs

I was looking at my rooster just today and found a bug on him, i am not sure what kind of bug it was but i remember reading something about some kind of dust that can be bought to kill those kind of bugs while the bird takes a dust bath, i don't know what it is called.

Is the dust called DT? Or is it something else?
