Chickens and ducks as roommates?

We have 6 buff orpingtons that are 2 months old, 2 Barred rocks that are 6 weeks old and 2 pekin ducks that are 2 weeks old. The chickens are outside in the coop now and things are going great! When the ducklings are ready to transition to outside can they be housed together? I know ducks are very messy and need water 24/7 but we have a fairly large coop. Also, if we have a small kiddie pool for the ducks is that putting the chickens in danger? Thanks for helping!

I tucked a broiler in with my flock of 18 khaki campbells, they were standoffish at first, but get along now. The chicken never seemed to be interested in the tub of water for the ducks, except maybe if the ducks emptied the waterer it might take a sip.

My khakis are 3 months old and I do not provide them with water and feed in the coop. They are far too messy to have water in the coop. The important thing is if you are going to withhold water, be sure that you withhold their feed too. They need water to help eat their food.
