I was watching Miami Animal Cops today, and they rescued some parakeets and cockatiels from a bad situation. They found the birds a new home, and showed the birds as they were released from their travel cages into the new enclosure. They put the birds right next to chickens! Only a piece of hardware cloth separated them. First of all, there was no quarantine on the part of the new owner. Secondly, isn't there a biohazard concern with the pet birds so close to the chickens?
