my DH tries i got to give him that....

he "tried" to make a sheppards pie for dinner last night (i was out)..he did not want to peel the potatoes so he washed them as best as he could and boiled them and mashed them..sounds ok so far..

we sat down for dinner i was impressed he made dinner without being asked...and them whammo...i took a bite and the mashed potatoes are gritty... there is sand in the mashed potatoes on top

it turns out that he did not scrub them. he let them sit in the sink with cold water and then took the cloth and wipped them...he did not use the veggie brush...

can i feed cooked potato skins to the chickens?...

I know you can't feed raw but what about cooked in mashed potatoes?

thanks everyone

On day two the potato peels seem more appealing to my hens. They will eat them though. I too am convinced though that they will eat anything...anything under the sun.

Cooked potatoes are fine for chickens. Raw potato peels are not good.

Same with beans - cooked beans are good. Raw beans are not good.
