Chickens and snow

Think of being in an unheated car with a group of people, almost immediately it fogs up, and that is what you are trying to avoid, that dampness makes for cold chickens and frostbite.
I love this analogy!!.....almost everyone has been there, so (should)understand it.

Good! If the windows open up high and the wind isn’t blowing in too much, that would be good too.

If you have plenty of room inside the camper and it’s not too crowded, that should help too. Their poop, their breathing, and water in the coop create moisture problems.

Four sq ft per chicken minimum. I built a coop with a little more, but as they grew it became clear that it really wasn’t enough. We put on an addition so I have almost 6 sq ft per bird. When I do it again there will be much more!
