Chickens and taxes

I have about 50 chickens and I was wanting to come up with a Farm Name so to speak then I thought about something. Are there any tax advantages to having a "farm"? What makes a "farm". I am going to start breeding and selling some in the future so I will need all the help with money I can get. I live in Georgia. Thanks in advance.

Well, if you could establish that breeding and selling chickens is a business, and not a hobby, you could deduct the costs of raising them.

Really it's not much fuss, if you take some reconrds now, you can deduct "start-up" expenses off your taxes and you don't need to sale anything to do that just "intent" to sell.
