chickens and their coops

Ok so due to the cost instead of one big coop we purchased two small ones. My chickens are only 11-14 weeks old and there are 12 of them. At night they all go into the same coop and crowd into the back of it on top of each other. As they continue to grow will they eventually figure out to go into the other coop or do I need to start placing some of them in the other coop?

if they are crushing each other by piling in then you will have to interviene or they will end up crushing and killing the bottom one. so yes splitting them up would be a good idea
