chickens and turkeys cohabitating

I was wondering if the chickens should be left apart from the turkeys or will they get along for the most part. Not sure on the pecking order.

Check with your local ag. office. Chickens can spread things to turkeys and turkeys can spread things to chickens. Check on blackhead disese.

My chickens and turkeys roam together with no problems they both have there own homes, turkeys the trees chickens a round calf hutch.
Blackhead is only a problem in some areas. and chickens dont give turkeys blackhead, they can carry the pest that gives blackhead

Is there a way to make sure that the chicken doesn't pass the parasite to the turkey? My husband is interested in getting some now. I'm worried though, news around here where I live is that a lot of wild turkeys have died from this blackhead disease. I have 52 chickens, 4 ducks and maybe some geese along with turkeys.
