Hello,

I have a quick question my chickens have be laying for 2 weeks now and I have been eating and giving some of the eggs away ... But I was told by another farmer I had to have the chickens tested and the eggs for (she Didn't state what) is there something I am missing here. Just don't want to make anyone sick

Thank you
Matt S.

I would ask that farmer where he/she got that information. If you are a commercial egg producer, there would be some testing involved. Otherwise, the government has yet to step into BYF practices... just give them time! Your eggs are far healthier than any grocery store egg that has had the S... tested out of it. The only concern you might have is if you've recently exposed your birds to insecticides or wormed them.
