All chickens have a nap now and then, but sometimes that so called 'nap' can quickly turn into a deep sleep. All chickens engage in a stage of sleep call REM sleep. REM stands for rapid eye movement, this is where (like us humans) we usually dream. So, do chickens dream? YES! They do! According to scientific study, it is proven that all our feathered friends will dream a few times in their life. Chickens' dreams usually last about...15 seconds! Short dreams! I wonder what they dream about? Probably food, dust bathing, sun baking and finding an enormous worm! So, anyone who wants to discuss chickens and their dreams in this fun-fact thread, c'mon! All are welcome!

Keep on dreaming!
