Hello new friends. My name is April and I'm from Dallas. Recently we bought a home in Colorado and finally have the space to be chicken owners. We started our little flock of 14 chickens back on August 11th with chicks bought from the local hardware store. We are totally new to this but we're having so much fun watching these chickens grow. They are so much fun with all their antics. I have so much to learn and have referred to this forum several times so I thought I should become a member. Hopefully I'll know enough to contribute before too long.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes - August 11th
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 14
(3) What breeds do you have? Easter Eggers and Dominique and one other that I'm not sure about.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Artist
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband and I own and operate a plumbing company. I'm also an artist. We have 4 children ranging from 5 to 14. We have 14 chickens, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 5 bunnies.
