Chickens ate the hydrangea

Hi everyone. I have (had till this morning) a hydrangea in the chicken run and did not know it was bad for the chickens. They have been eating quite a bit of it. What should I do. So far they still look okay. Anything I should or could do to prevent them from getting sick or WORSE, die?
I did of course already removed the plant this morning.

Umm. I have a large hydrangea, it happens to be one of their favorite places to get out of the sun. I haven't had any problems, but maybe they're not eating it? No deaths or sickness.

I haven't had any problems with the hydrangea in my garden.

Fancychooklady, do you know if they are eating the hydrangea. Mine definitely ate some of the leaves. Thanks

I can see no evidence of them eating it. Mine are free range and will lay under the hydrangea .

I'm happy to report my chickens are all still standing bright eye and feathery tailed. Hydrangea probably a lot happier in the front yard too where it can grow back to it's former glory in peace.
Reading up on chicken friendly plants to make it a happy place for all.
