One chicken completely missing. Just a pile of feathers. The other had her tail bit off. Including the popes nose. There was a tear in her skin but very little blood. I sprayed blue cote on tail and put neosporin on the skinpulled back part. This happened yesterday. This morning she’s still alive and eating and drinking a little. Can she live without the popes nose? Also these two had gotten out of yard by going under the fence. Attacked it looks like as they were trying to get back under.
sorry for the problem. Yes she can recover and live. Make sure that flies do not lay eggs in the wound. A bigger problem is the predator - it will return. Can you install hot wire around your pen?
