Chickens avoiding rooster, should I try incubating?

hello,

Im not sure if this belongs here or in chicken behavior, so I apologize if I get it wrong.

Here is my question: my chickens seem to be avoiding the rooster when he tries to mount them, they aren’t scared just tired of him, would it be worth it to even try and incubate the eggs?

Important information: the whole flock free ranges throughout the day, and I’m not out there all the time, so he could be successful every now and then? Should I just try and see?

I think we are good. Next question, I just collected all the eggs from the nesting boxes, should I wait a couple days before trying to incubate? Or can I start tomorrow?

You can put fresh collected eggs straight in the incubator. The only reason to let them sit is if they were shipped so the air cells can settle or if they were exposed to cold temperatures then you would want to bring them up to room temperature first.
