Chickens chasing Robins

Hahahaha i was just out looking at the girls and cought one chasing a Robin around the yard, it was awsome, the robin would land and she would be right after it, the robin would take off and she would leap and try and catch it in the air, i didnt know they would be this entertaining.

Wonder if it was because it was a robin that hasn't been around all winter so a stranger to her. Some of mine will chase wild birds but it is more when the birds are after treats or something that has been tossed in the yard for the chickens, and they are bad about going after young birds that fell out of the nest.

If chicken can catch robin, the robin is in serious trouble. Mine will attack killdeer and small songbirds eating the latter.

my girls are only 20 weeks and have never been here for a winter so i dout that, its the first time they have seen birds so its in thier blood to try and get them.
