I noticed the other day one of my eleven chickens was having a problem with her comb it seamed smaller. Today when I went out I noticed that her waddles are the size of a pea??
Can any one HELP :/
I have been taking care of chickens for almost a year now, starting to think I should have picked hardier animal.i love my chicken and have invested about 4k in coop and run, I just want them happy and healthy. There are times when I would like to have some one close by to talk to. We have a great feed store but with some of the issues I have had they can't help. Anyone have any suggestions??
Thanks for being there
:he
PS it's been pretty hot here I do every thing I can to get them as cool as possible

When hens take a break from laying and/or molt, their combs and wattles will decrease in size and color - it's all hormonal. If this is the case with your hen, she will regain size and color after she has 'rested'.

PS, ducks 'waddle' chickens have wattles.
