Chickens combs turning black ?

My chickens are about 5-6 months old and their combs are turning black ? Can any one help me figure out what the reason might be ? They are Rhode Island reds and red sex links

I don't really know the answer to why their combs are turning black. But I typed 'comb turning black' into the BYC search box and several old threads came up. You might give that a try. Good luck to you!
