Two days ago one of our chickens dropped dead. Today another did. No extreme heat or noticeable sneezing/coughing. The one symptom we are getting is the eggs are like liquid inside.

What should we do?

Welcome To BYC

Can you post photos of your birds, the eggs and their poop?
How old are they?
What do you feed?
Where are you located in the world and what have your temperatures been like?
Describe housing or post photos?
How many birds do you have?

I will get some photos. Thank you!!! We have had chickens for over a decade. Tempaures here in MN haven’t gone above high 80’s for a long time. We feed the same high quality organic food we have fed since we started. Most birds are 3 years old in this flock.

I’ll get a photo of the eggs. The shell is normal but everything inside is liquid. I did read high ammonia can cause both the liquid eggs and sudden death as can bronchitis??

So we are going to get everything cleaned out super super well today in case there could be any hygiene issues.

I will try to get photos too. Thank you so much!!!!
