Chickens dying

We have a mixed flock about 60 hens. We had 13 isa and 13 leghorns, which are 3 months old. We have 40 or so other hens that are older. Over the past 3 nights there has been chickens that are dying. none of the older hens have died,. There has been 6 of the younger birds that have died over the past 3 nights. I haven't seen any blood and I don't see any way critters are getting in at night. There free range all day. Any ideas what may be happening? Thanks got all input!

Depending upon your location, heat may be a factor. Also, do the younger ones range in a different area than the older ones? If this is the case, there may be a toxic plant they are snacking on that requires so much to build up in the system before causing death. Overcrowding can also be an issue in their overnight quarters.
