Chickens eating Cedar and playing in the mud

I've been noticing my chickens eating the new sprouts on the cedar in their pen. Any issues with this we should be aware of?
Also, they are out in the rain more often than not, and seem to like being in the mud. Any issues I should keep an eye on with their feet?

Yours like the mud? Omg mine hate the mud and avoid puddles at all cost. Sorry I'm no help on either account
