Chickens eating eggs

I have 19 chickens and I thought they were only lying 2 eggs day, but then I found an empty eggshell. I found out how it started ( duck was lying soft-shelled eggs), but I can't get it to stop. I have tried mustard, pepper, and hot sauce and they taste it then go back for more. They have plenty of water and free-choice laying mash, plus their eggshells baked and crushed plus oyster shells free-choice.

Use fake eggs and collect real ones often. They may get the idea that they're too hard to break.
Also get some of those plastic Easter eggs and fill them with sand. If they get them open there won't be anything of interest to eat.

I check them about every half hour but the second they are layed they get eaten, and I have put golf balls in there too. But, I will try the Easter egg thing. fingers crossed.
