Typical behavior, happens with even long established flocks.....

I had the same problem. They were knocking each other off the top roost and falling against the wall. Get up, go around, rinse and repeat. I made the top roost longer. 18 birds are on a 12 ft roost. My lone, lame guinea, Poppy, is on the lower roost. Still need to get poop boards up. I am using large red plastic buckets for nest boxes that I had my container tomato plants in. They love them.
