I am using my lawn mower to chop leaves and it is also chopping the pecans left on the ground. My chickens are following behind me eating the cracked/shelled pecans:lol:
Smart chickens;)

Maybe they're learning tricks from cattle egrets.

When I would mow the grass in WI, I would many times have dragonflies flying along the front of the rinding mower. Kinda like dolphins around a ship.
The were eating the mosquitos that were coming out of the long grass.

It was really cool!

My chickens love the bugs and stuff from the grass clippings. In the summer (when I free range them) I always have some scraps to throw them when I go outside. So they follow ME! As soon as I step out, chickens come from every corner of our 4-acre yard at top speed for the treats!

I feel like a mamma hen, babies in tow.
