Chickens going crazy

I came outside yesterday to find my chickens running around like crazy. Scared. Some trying to fly out of their run etc.

Culprit was... a butterfly.

Yep that's right. A fairly large butterfly was flying over head and totally freaked them all out.

OMG, mine have done that too! Mr. Bojangles(my young rooster) growls and sends out the alarm call(much like a soldier yelling "INCOMING!!") over the GOOFIEST things. He never fails to make me laugh. I love how everyone in the flock ducks their head when he does that, lol.

My RIR saw a humming bird the other day & it was obvious what was going through her head as she chased it around the yard: "That's gotta be the biggest moth EVER!"
