chickens going into the run.

ok i built a chicken tractor based off the playhouse coop on the site but a little bit larger. i have 3 almost egg laying size pure breed ameraucanas and all they want to do is stay in the house part and dont want to go into the run. they are connected by a trap door that i let down in the morning, i put pieces of wood along the trap door about 3-4 inchs apart so they could climb it and the trap door itself is about 10in wide but they wont go down it at all.any help?


i ended up putting the food in the coop part because i didnt want them to starve or get thirsty.

Put your food and water in the run, let down the trap door and chase them all into the run and close the trap door. They'll get the idea.
