Happy chicken mom here. I skulk around the site quite often but never joined. I work for a local feed store and chickens are my job. I love talking chickens, teaching about chickens, and generally answering any chicken related questions. And anything I don't know, you fine folks here usually do and help me answer just about everything.

I'm a proud mom of 13 Easter egger/barred rock crosses. And currently have 8 eggs under Saul, our only broody hen.
I love how smart chickens are and all their funny quirks and personalities. When I'm not spoiling my feathered babies, I'm chasing cats, a livestock guardian dog who loves chickens a little too much and sharing my love for farm animals with my 7 and 1yr old farm hands.

We recently brought home ducks and boy has that been an adventure. Especially since I caught my "absolutely no ducks!" Husband hand feeding the babies. Which brings us to why I joined. We need all the duck help we can get! Can't wait learn from the other poultry parents of the world!
