Chickens hang out in door at night and stop the auto door.

It started with one, she would perch on the edge of the door and look out over the run and the door would come down, push her out and she was stuck. I put a camera to watch and the last two nights they are all hanging out right in the door and if I don't go out there an try to get them in (which defeats the auto door) most get stuck outside.

What can I do to get them to go further into the coop and/or stay off the door?

Here is the ramp going up and where they hang out. There are two roosts inside and a lot of space but they don't care.

I have it closing 30 minutes after sunset. It's dark out, I have to use a flashlight to check on them. Should I make it later?

Maybe it's hot, stuffy and dark in the coop...how's your ventilation, any windows for light?
How long have they been in the coop/run...were they roosting before and just now started hanging in the doorway?

Chickens can be fickle, and an autodoor can be nice, but still may take more hands on attention until good habits are instilled and consistent.
Some autodoors have a 'last chance' option where it opens again a bit later for the stragglers.

Giant window and plenty of vents. It's clean, it's big, it's airy but the little ******** still hang out in one corner.

I modified the software to do a second chance and made it 1 hour after sunset instead of 30 minutes. It now shuts, waits 10 minutes and then stays open for another 10 minutes to give them a chance to get back in.
