Hello - I have not posted to BYC and have a question that I need help in determining. I live in Atlanta GA; i am new to chickens; my chickens are now 7 weeks old and I need to move them out of the house. Please advise!! Is it too cold if they are in a rabbit hutch with very little draft and a heat lamp?

At seven weeks, most of my birds are still under heat.... Is there a way to safely add heat to your hutch, without causing a danger of fire etc. Hope this is helpful. Nancy

Nancy,
When do you move your chicks to an unheated environment? You know I will need to know this soon - thanks to your 19 overly fertile, well packaged eggs that are in my bator!
