Chickens in Monroe?

Hi,
I was wondering if it is legal to have chickens in Monroe.I want to keep chickens.If they are,great!But if not,I have to put up some kind of fight..maybe start a petition?
Any help would be appreciated

Well, if it's any help, I live in Chester and we are zoned for 25 fowl per house. You need to check with your town building department/zoning office. There's probably a limit, usually 4 hens, one roo, but definitely check before you get any.
