chickens in run this morning along with..

I let my chickens out in their run this morning and a chipmunk came right in and my rooster just looked at it. Are chipmunks any kinda threat to them?

I would say no except that they may eat the feed.

Chickens have been known to catch and kill mice. If I were that chipmunk, I'd steer clear!

The chipmunk is no threat to the chickens, but my rooster killed a squirrel once that foolishly got between him and his hens. (Or maybe he called him names or made fun of his comb? I don't know for sure

the chickens are a threat to the chipmunk. mine ate all sorts of small rodents, snakes, you name it. if they could catch it they would eat it.

After the way mine went after a lizard, I'd say that chipmunk better start moving on!!

Try to pick up food at night to keep rodents away because they will draw snakes, hawks, owls, and other predators.

Well... I think I have a new found love for my own hens. Here's hoping mine will take care of all those freakin' snakes I have lurking around my porch and garden.

Chipmunks will eat chickens' eggs, but don't usually bother the adult birds. I don't know if they'd go after chicks.
