Chickens in S Indiana??

Howdy.
So, my friend said that I inspired her to get chickens. She lives in southern Indiana, like Jeffersonville/Clarksville area. She doesn't know if they're allowed in the cities there though. Neither do I. I tried looking it up, but couldn't find anything.
Does anyone know if city chickens are allowed in southern Indiana??

I am actualy not to far from there. I am out in a rural area, but AS FAR AS I know there are not STATE laws. I would contact the local DNR or Sheriff Depts. - Good luck from SE Indiana
