we have enough girls to spread the leftovers around, that it's more of a treat than a meal. I just fed them leftover chicken lo mein yesterday.
try opening a can of tuna and giving that to them! they will go ga-ga over it! my girls love tuna and practically take a finger off to be the first to get to it.
I feed my girls most of the left overs that we have, meat included. I just make sure they get plenty of grit, and lighten up on the scratch so they will eat more feed afterwards. everything in moderation.
also, I will clear off the marked down/repackaged fruit and vegi shelves at my local grocery store, for the girls (as long as the price is right)
