Can a chicken pass a deadly disease on to a year old sow potbelly pig?

Chickens can be infected with salmonella and avian influenza that may be infectious to a pig, but most common chicken diseases don't affect pigs. What disease are you referring to?

i don't know, trying to figure why a seemingly healthy pig croaked yesterday. if one pig got sick wouldn't the rest of them? can't quite splurge for a vet right now

I had hogs and chickens a long time ago without any problems. Have you wormed your pigs? I used FRM pellet wormer to worm, looks the same as FRM pig popper. Prior to that I used Red Devil lye to worm the hogs..
