chickens near yew bush

i have a bunch of yew bushes in my yard and my chickens love to take dust baths in them. ive heard that yews are poisonous but ive also heard that chickens know not to eat poisonous bushes. does this meba i should keep them away form the yews or should i let them be under them?

If you want to be absolutely 100% certain, you could keep them away from it.

Realistically though they are not very likely to sample it -- at most, they might eat the berries, which are actually the one *non*poisonous part of the plant

So unless they are in a bare-dirt yard with nothing else green, you will *probably* be ok.
