We have 5 hens of different varieties that we need to re-home. They are good layers and we have treated them well but we have a new hunting puppy that is not getting along with the hens and the hens are not happy anymore. The hens are 2 years old.

They all have names:
Buffy is a Buffington Brahma
Who is an Americauna (lays green eggs)
Spooky is a Barred Plymouth Rock
Red is a Rhode Island Red
Fancy ...sorry but can't remember. She has reddish feathers with black lining.

Some are still laying but the stress is keeping the others from doing so right now.
We would love for them to go to a good home where they can free range and eat all of the crickets and bugs they can handle. They have been domestic so they are easy to pick up and some of them will eat out of your hand.

We are in Western Hills in Cincinnati.

Thanks

If you don't see any action on this thread you should try CraigsList. Hens that are still laying will sell for $10 in less than 24 hours usually. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice

I live in southeast Ohio , Ironton, and am looking to expand my backyard flock. I have 5 RIR and 1 Blk Ameraucauna. They free range in the evenings and put themselves to bed at night. We kick up at dark. They have ample room in the run during the days when we're not home, but when Im home I let them range in the daytime too. My DD firmly believes in meal worm treats, and we give lots of kitchen scraps. Would love to have a few of your girls.
