My chickens have been outside for a week or so just during the day, this weekend they moved in permanently and they don't seem to know to go into the roost at night. Me and my husband have been moving them in at night but my question is when will they know to go in themselves?

Depends on the chickens hehe just keep at it and they will eventually do it on their own, mine took about a week (if I remember correctly) before they started doing it on there own

I'm so happy to see this thread, and that I am not the only one! My teenagers have been in their coop almost a week, and I have to physically put them inside at night as well. I thought maybe I just spoiled them!

It has been raining really hard and will continue to do so for the next couple of days so they are staying in the coop for now. They have figured out how to get out of the coop but still can not go in by themselves.
