Most breeds don't lay an egg every day. Some breeds lay eggs every other day or every three days. What chicken breeds do you have?I have 28 hens and 2 roosters in one large pen with a coop with next boxes. The question I have is why am I only getting 6 to 12 eggs a day.
We love in Salinas calif. There run space is 16' x 23' and the co-op size is 8'x8' with 16 next boxes. We feed them lay crumble , scratch, they get oyster, grit, and meal works very other day. No they do not free range.. No new birds introduced. We have had a lot of rain latelyWhere in the world are you located? How old are your birds? How much coop and run space do they have? What are you feeding? Do they free range? Any stressors recently (new birds introduced, predator attack, extreme weather changes, etc.)?
How much flock black and scratch do they get?
