chickens not laying

i have 16 chickens i think breed is called red sex i was getting 12to 14 eggs aday from may till a few days ago now im getting 6 to 8 is this common for them to stop layin g they r all abou t 2yrs old

It sounds as though the first molt is here. They will cut back a lot for a few weeks, then back to business. As they age, they will lay fewer but larger eggs, with egg production declining every 12-14 months for molts. At age3+ they will lay very very rarely, but may turn brooky, and you can hatch their replacements, if you have or borrow a roo.
