(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes and no. I grew up on a farm in Iowa, and we occasionally raised meat birds when I was growing up. Our family just got a brand new flock (for eggs) 5 weeks ago, and we have some more chicks coming soon (for meat).

12 with 30 more on the way.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Jersey Giants, Buff Orpingtons, Barred Rocks, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Ancona, Barnvelder, Light Brahma, Silkie, & Russian Orloff.

The Googles told me.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading, Jazz, Soccer, Cooking...
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a pastor at Orcas Island Community Church. My wife and I have 5 kids. We also have a black lab.
