I have Buff Orphintons that don't have any feathers on their back because they are pecking at each other and leave a bald spot. Does anyone know if that is because they are not getting enough feed, or are they bored, or does the roster do that. I believe I feed them enough and they seem to have plenty of room in the pen. Does anyone know the cause?

I have seen this on Plymouth Barred Rocks before. It was winter and the owners had attributed it to them being bored and crowded in their indoor space. I wouldn't imagine that it would be the problem in the fall though. I imagine they are still using an outdoor run at least?
