One of My Orpingtons has red random splotches on her feet. What could this be from? Can you please help us? What should I do?

Hello! This happens to my chickies' feet, too. It's in the early 30's here as well but can get down to the early 20's. My guess is that their feet get red because they are just really cold. My roo's feet always get like that:)

Ok, thank you. What can I do to help them? More pine shavings? Straw?

You could try either of them :) I use straw in my run. I know that there are risks of them getting an impacted crop but it helps them keep their feet warm and it keeps them busy digging around in it for scratch. Plus I haven't seen them eating it so that's a good sign🙂 I would personally try straw to keep them off the frozen/cold ground. You can also sprinkle a treat or food of choice into the straw to keep them busy...If they keep active, that will also help them stay warmer in theory😁
