These aren’t my chicken they belong to my Nana, who are older and kind of set in their ways. I’ve been around them enough to notice something’s not right. My Nana say the hens are fine, but anyone familiar with chickens knows that when they seem “fine,” there still might be an issue.
After their sick rooster died, a lot of the hens started showing signs of illness. Their eyes look swollen, their combs are a pale grey pink instead of bright red, and some of them make short little gasping sounds not choking, just a quick breath and then nothing. Also like sneeze mucus idk how describe it imagine like youre sneezing and like you look up, soon you let out a junk of mucus/saliva.
I mentioned it, but Nana she didn’t seem too worried. She decided to just leave the hens as they are. It’s been almost two months now. They haven’t gotten worse, but they haven’t gotten better either they’re just stuck like this
